Attended the second Hennessy X.O Appreciation Grows event in Malaysia entitled “Essence of Luxury” on 20 August 2009 at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.

 

Hennessy X.O’s Beauté du Sieclè – really exquisite cabinet made by the finest European artisans with Murano glass, melted aluminium and ceramic, with mirrored screens by master glass workers from the Verrerie de Saint-Just. The holder for the Hennessy cognac bottle is made from gilded bronze lattice and the whole thing can be yours for €100,000.

This limited edition piece was created by contemporary artist Jean-Michel Othoniel in celebration of Killian Hennessy’s 100th birthday, and as a tribute to the Art Nouveau movement at the turn of the century. There are only 100 pieces in existence, while the cognac is a blend of 100 different eau de vie, and in the base of the cabinet is a commemorative art book featuring 100 photographs from the Talbot collection of the 1900s.

Also on display was the Bentley Continental GT Speed which combines phenomenal power, improved agility and new levels of road holding for the more demanding driving enthusiasts, whilst continuing to offer unmistakable Bentley hallmarks of outstanding design and peerless craftsmanship.

Other displays included distinctive and iconic names in luxury including Franck Muller for Timepieces, Mouawad in Jewellery, Berluti in Leather Ware.
