Gulfstream Delivers 10th G700 to Qatar Executive, Completing Six-Year Order

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has delivered its 10th G700 aircraft to Qatar Executive, completing an order that was first announced in October 2019. The delivery also brings to 25 the total number of Gulfstream aircraft delivered to Qatar Executive since the two companies entered into their partnership more than a decade ago.
Qatar Executive operates as the private jet charter division of Qatar Airways Group and is headquartered in Doha. Qatar Executive holds a notable position in the G700’s commercial history, having served as Gulfstream’s international launch partner for the type — a relationship that has since expanded into one of the more significant fleet commitments in the ultra-long-range business jet segment.
“Qatar Executive has been a valued and respected partner for more than a decade. We were honored to have them as our international partner for the G700 launch and first delivery and appreciate their continued trust as we deliver yet another high-quality aircraft to their growing world-class fleet.”
Mark Burns, president of Gulfstream
For Qatar Executive, the completion of the G700 order represents a key milestone in what the operator has characterised as a continuous growth strategy, reinforcing its standing in the global business aviation charter market and expanding the operational capabilities available to its passengers.
The delivery is emblematic of a broader expansion in business aviation across the Gulf region. The Middle East and Africa general aviation market, valued at approximately $1.92 billion in 2025, is projected to reach $2.87 billion by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of 8.36% — among the strongest growth trajectories of any region globally. The GCC’s affluent clientele has demonstrated a consistent preference for large-cabin, long-range business jets, fuelling demand that forecasters estimate could see the Middle East business jet market reach $26.77 billion by 2028.
Qatar Executive’s sustained investment in Gulfstream’s flagship type — committing to ten G700s at a time when ultra-long-range cabin standards and intercontinental range have become baseline expectations for premium charter clients — reflects the competitive pressures now shaping the regional market. The Middle East and Africa region is currently the fastest-growing segment of the global business aviation services market, projected to advance at a CAGR of 11.88% through 2031, as Gulf-based operators compete to attract a clientele for whom non-stop intercontinental reach and cabin comfort are primary selection criteria rather than secondary considerations.
The G700 is Gulfstream’s flagship ultra-long-range business jet, distinguished in the manufacturer’s lineup by what the company describes as the most spacious cabin in the industry. The Gulfstream Cabin Experience, fitted as standard across the type, circulates 100 per cent fresh air throughout the cabin — a specification that has become an increasingly prominent selling point in the premium charter segment — and incorporates 20 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows designed to maximise natural light. The G700 also holds the distinction of offering the lowest cabin altitude at the highest operating elevations of any aircraft in its class.
On performance, the G700 is certificated to a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935, with a high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90. The type has accumulated more than 90 city-pair speed records to date, a figure that reflects both its aerodynamic efficiency and its appeal to operators whose clients place a premium on journey time reduction over intercontinental distances.
The aircraft’s performance envelope is underpinned by a combination of Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines — among the most advanced powerplants in current business aviation service — paired with a Gulfstream-designed advanced aerodynamic wing and high-speed winglet developed specifically for the type. Together, the propulsion and airframe package gives the G700 its ultra-long-range credentials while maintaining the high-speed cruise capability that has contributed to its record-setting pace across key international city pairs.
The G700’s flight deck specification includes the award-winning Predictive Landing Performance System and a dual head-up display incorporating Gulfstream’s Combined Vision System (CVS). The CVS integrates Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) and Synthetic Vision System (SVS) into a single unified image, a configuration Gulfstream says increases pilot situational awareness and expands access to a broader range of airports — a practical operational advantage for an operator such as Qatar Executive, whose charter clients frequently require access to airports beyond the primary hub network.
