Swiss luxury watchmaker Breitling has launched an exclusive timepiece commemorating Singapore’s 60th anniversary of independence and the second year of its Raffles City flagship boutique.

The Premier B25 Datora 42 Diamond Jubilee Edition, limited to just 60 pieces, marks the culmination of SG60 celebrations while paying tribute to the brand’s deepening relationship with Singapore. The timepiece combines traditional watchmaking craftsmanship with design elements specifically chosen to honour the nation’s milestone.

The Premier Collection draws inspiration from Willy Breitling’s vision in the 1940s, when the original Premier wristwatches successfully merged technical innovation with refined elegance. The Datora model distinguishes itself through its complex functions, including day, date, and moon-phase displays that are both highly visible and technically sophisticated.

For this special edition, Breitling has introduced a burgundy dial—a first for the Datora line. The rich, warm tone references Singapore’s national flag while maintaining contemporary sophistication. The watch is paired with a black alligator leather strap featuring tone-on-tone stitching.

Each stainless steel caseback bears engravings reading “ONE OF 60” and “DIAMOND JUBILEE EDITION,” ensuring every piece serves as a numbered, collectible tribute to Singapore’s diamond jubilee.

At the heart of the timepiece lies the Breitling Manufacture Calibre B25, a COSC-certified chronometer that guarantees exceptional accuracy. The self-winding mechanical movement incorporates a column-wheel chronograph mechanism for smooth, precise operation and delivers approximately 48 hours of power reserve.

Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour with 32 jewels, the movement powers a harmoniously arranged dial that balances complexity with clarity. Day and month appear in windows at 12 o’clock, the date integrates into the moon-phase display at 6 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter sits at 3, and running seconds occupy the 9 o’clock position.

Purchasers of the Diamond Jubilee Edition will receive an exclusive SG60 gift: a burgundy leather passport sleeve crafted from full-grain calf leather. Presented in special packaging featuring the SG60 logo, the travel accessory is available only in Singapore, transforming the purchase into a complete commemorative experience.

The 42mm stainless steel case features vintage-inspired hands, Arabic numerals, rectangular chronograph pushers, and a cambered sapphire crystal with glare-proofing on both sides. Water-resistant to 100 meters, the watch balances elegance with practical functionality.
