Lamborghini Temerario: Sant’Agata’s “Fuoriclasse” Debuts in Malaysia

Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur officially launched the Temerario in Malaysia on 15 July 2025, marking the completion of the Italian automaker’s transition to a fully hybridised product lineup. The High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) represents the second model in Lamborghini’s electrified range, following the Revuelto introduced in 2023 and the Urus SE plug-in hybrid Super SUV.

The Temerario sets new performance benchmarks in the super sports car segment with its innovative twin-turbo V8 hybrid powertrain. The system combines a new 4.0-liter V8 engine with three electric motors, delivering a combined output of 920 CV while achieving a unique capability of revving to 10,000 rpm. This powertrain enables acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 343 km/h. The combination of extreme performance and environmental consciousness addresses evolving market demands for sustainable high-performance vehicles. The 920 CV output places the vehicle at the top of its segment while the hybrid system enables reduced emissions compared to traditional powertrains.

“We are thrilled to debut the Temerario here in Malaysia. Setting a new standard in the super sports car segment, the Temerario delivers outstanding performance and advanced hybrid innovation”Driven by an all-new twin turbo V8 hybrid powertrain, it delivers the highest level of performance and comfort for a peerless driving experience rooted in Italian automotive excellence from Sant’Agata Bolognese. As a true Fuoriclasse, it empowers drivers of all skills level to fully engage with its precision handling and emotional appeal.”

The launch event showcased the Temerario in matt Blu Marinus exterior alongside the other two plug-in hybrid models: the V12 HPEV Revuelto and the Urus SE. Guests also explored personalisation options through the Lamborghini Ad Personam program, which offers over 400 exterior colours and complementary interior options.

The Temerario’s powertrain represents five years of development, featuring an extremely high-revving biturbo internal combustion engine combined with three electric motors. The new 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, designated L411, achieves a specific output of 200 CV per liter and delivers peak power of 800 CV from 9,000 to 9,750 rpm, with 730 Nm of torque between 4,000 and 7,000 rpm.

An oil-cooled axial flow electric motor is fully integrated within the V8 housing in the P1 position between the engine and gearbox, providing immediate response from low engine speeds and functioning as a “torque gap filler” during gear transitions. Two additional electric motors on the front axle support propulsion, creating a sensation of linear progression up to 10,000 revolutions.

The Temerario introduces a new design language for Lamborghini’s mid-engine sports cars while maintaining connection to its legendary predecessors. The exterior features clean, puristic lines with short, compact overhangs and integrated aerodynamics. A new hexagonal Daytime Running Light signature incorporates integrated radar sensors and air tunnels, while the hexagonal theme continues throughout the vehicle’s design elements.

Lamborghini achieved new aerodynamic efficiency targets focusing on high-speed stability, increased cooling performance, and maximum braking efficiency. Rear downforce increases by 103 percent compared to the Huracán EVO, reaching 158 percent with the optional Alleggerita package. The new brake cooling concept provides up to 50 percent better caliper cooling and 20 percent increased disc cooling over the previous model.

The Temerario offers 13 driving experiences through selectable modes including Città, Strada, Sport, Corsa, and Corsa Plus. Three new hybrid-specific modes—Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance—are accessible via steering wheel rotors. The system includes Launch Control activation for maximum standing start performance.

The interior follows a “Feel like a pilot” philosophy, utilising premium materials including carbon fibre, leather, and Corsatex microfiber. The cabin offers significantly more space than its predecessor, with 34mm additional headroom and 46mm more legroom, accommodating passengers up to 200cm tall even when wearing helmets.

The Temerario’s interior represents a complete redesign compared to the Huracán while further developing the design language first introduced on the Revuelto. The new spaceframe chassis concept enables significant improvements in passenger accommodation and comfort. Beyond the increased headroom and legroom, the vehicle provides a 4.8-degree improvement in visibility, ensuring optimal sightlines for both driver and passenger.

The cockpit design integrates iconic hexagonal air vents elegantly into the dashboard, while the center console includes dedicated space for smartphone and wallet storage. Classical Lamborghini elements remain prominent, including the aviation-inspired Start/Stop power button, e-gear lever, and red line-up indicator on the steering wheel that emphasises the vehicle’s extreme sporting character.

Storage capacity has been significantly enhanced with 112 litres of stowage volume available in the front load compartment, equivalent to two cabin trolleys. Additional storage space is provided behind the seats for everyday items, addressing practical usability concerns often associated with super sports cars.

The extensive Ad Personam program offers unprecedented customisation possibilities across both exterior and interior elements. Beyond the standard colour palette, customers can select from three different rim designs and materials: cast rims available in three colours, forged rims in four colours, and carbon fibre options. The 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheel configuration can be tailored to individual preferences while maintaining optimal performance characteristics.

Carbon fibre elements are available throughout the vehicle, including front splitter, mirror caps, side upper vents, and rear diffuser for exterior applications. Interior carbon fibre options encompass the central tunnel, instrument cluster, air vents, door switch frames, steering wheel, steering column cover, and gear shift components.

For the first time in a Lamborghini debut, the Temerario is available with an ‘Alleggerita’ lightweight package targeting track-oriented customers. The Alleggerita package represents Lamborghini’s commitment to track performance optimisation. The weight reduction of 12.65kg through body components alone demonstrates advanced materials engineering, while the total 25kg reduction when combined with lightweight interior elements and carbon wheels significantly impacts power-to-weight ratio. The aerodynamic improvements provide 67 percent additional aerodynamic load, enhancing high-speed stability and cornering performance.

This package addresses the needs of customers who prioritise track day performance while maintaining road usability. The enhanced aerodynamic efficiency complements the already impressive downforce improvements, creating a comprehensive performance upgrade for serious driving enthusiasts.

The Temerario debuts the Lamborghini Vision Unit, representing the most advanced multimedia experience in the brand’s history. This system provides immersive access to features that enhance driving engagement while enabling seamless capture and sharing of track and road experiences. The 12.3-inch digital dashboard displays animated graphics that replicate the rotation of mode selectors, making driver selections immediately intuitive.

The integration of technology extends beyond entertainment to include practical driving aids and performance monitoring systems. The sophisticated interface allows drivers to access vehicle parameters, performance data, and customisation options while maintaining focus on the driving experience.

Bridgestone serves as the exclusive tire partner, developing a complete lineup including custom-engineered Potenza Sport and Potenza Race tires designed to maximise performance both on and off track throughout the year. The vehicle features a full aluminium chassis and body construction, with carbon ceramic brakes utilising fixed monoblock calipers. Front wheels measure 20 inches while rear wheels are 21 inches, fitted with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires sized 255/35 ZR20 front and 325/30 ZR21 rear.

The Lamborghini Temerario is available for booking in Malaysia through Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur with a starting price of RM1,350,000 before duties, taxes, and personalisation options. The model launches with two new dedicated colours: Blu Marinus (blue) and Verde Mercurius (green), with over 400 body colours and special liveries available through the Ad Personam program.
