Twice in a row, when I have an event to attend at Istana Budaya, there was also a clashing Carlsberg event at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. Just my luck. Sigh… This time round it was Connor’s Stout Porter taking centre stage on 31 March 2016 with its ‘A Night Made Right’ activation launch at La Bodega and O’Galito. The launch was in conjunction with the brand’s ‘Just Made Right’ campaign, and involved the media as well as consumers who were at the outlets.
Getting straight to the pint, the launch of Connor’s Stout Porter “A Night Made Right” started off by paying tribute to the distinct British history of the original stout porter, with a British Military Marching Band with a unique drums piece. I was pleased to see Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers’s own songstress Kelly Siew with her band Mad Sally hype up the crowd with their upbeat and lively tunes as guests chilled over some ice-cold pints of Connor’s Stout Porter.
There were a couple of activities for consumers such as the 10 feet high giant pint of Connor’s Stout Porter which consumers could take a photo to enjoy half a pint of Connor’s Stout Porter on the house. There was also the “Pay What’s Right” whereby during the special promo hour, consumers can choose to pay either RM2, RM4, RM6, RM8 or RM10 – a special promo price for what you think is right for Connor’s Stout Porter to stand a chance to win RM500 cash voucher at participating outlets. Last but not least, there was also the “Slide the Pint” game to win a free half pint of Connor’s Stout Porter.

Connor’s Stout Porter will be running the same activation at 80 outlets nationwide from April to May 2016. Hint – if you want to stand a chance to win the RM500 – don’t be a miser!
