Managed to wake up on a Sunday morning and headed over to Pietro Ristorante Italiano in Damansara Endah for the launch of their Sunday brunch menu. If you remember, I attended their launch last year and a dinner food review earlier this year and I really like their food so no matter what I dragged myself out of bed for this.
Pietro is located on the ground floor of Bangunan ECM Libra in Damansara Endah, Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur. Parking is a breeze on weekends.
MHB’s Vivian, Sarah, Povy and Chammaine. The main dining area was rather full so we were given the private room which fits up to 14 pax. #likeaboss indeed hahaha!
The interior of Pietro is very stylish!
But what I really like are the intimate tables for 2 pax
A nice cup of hot Mocha (RM10.00) – a single shot of espresso with steamed chocolate milk and topped with chocolate powder!
Rubra offers 100% Arabica Rainforest Alliance certified coffee which supports children in East Timor, and a green environment. Rubra is a traditional espresso blend with loads of body and roundness.
Rubra is a bright and bold coffee with excellent nutty and bitter chocolate characteristics. Suitable for espresso, cappuccino and lattes.
Portobello Mushroom Soup – with touch of cream – RM14 .00 – I love the mushroom soup at Pietro as they make the soup with real mushrooms unlike other restaurants that use the canned type.
Sautéed Button Mushrooms – with rucola, baby tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and thick balsamic dressing – RM18.00 – a nice start to the meal
Croque Monsieur – RM14.00 – Two slices of bread with chicken ham, cheese and topped with an egg, Served with potatoes and fresh greens. For those who prefer a simple breakfast.
Homemade Toasted Muesli – served with fresh milk, strawberries, and honey – RM12.00
Bread and Jam Board – RM18.00 – Chef’s selection of cakes, toasted breads, and crispy croissants, served with whipped cream, premium jam and honey.
The Bread and Jam Board
Eggs Benedictine – two free-range eggs on toast, turkey ham, and lemon butter sauce served with roasted potatoes, and fresh salad – RM12.00 – I love runny yolks that are cooked perfectly! A must order dish for those who like eggs.
Prime Homemade Beef Burger – topped with cheese, lettuce, and crispy onions. Served with fries – RM22.00 – ahhh some man food! Tender, juicy beef patty with really crispy fries.
Steak and Fries – grilled fillet of beef, served with roasted vegetables, fries, and caffe de Paris butter – RM48.00 – the butter melted and mixed with the juices from the meat forming a delicious sause. My fav dish of the day!
Chicken Parmigianino – chicken breast, topped with chunky tomato sauce, garlic rustic crouton, and parmesan cheese, Served with a side salad with sticky balsamic salad dressing. – RM35.00
Truffle Shoestring Fries served with grated parmesan and chopped parsley – RM18.00 – the aroma of truffle oil fills the air when this dish is served. I think the fries are double fried as they are incredibly crispy!
Wash down your meal with some drinks! The bar is fully stocked with a selection of beers (Hoegaarden!) and liquors while the wine cellar offers an expansive selection of Italian and European wines, and Prosecco.
Customers can choose to enjoy the fresh air in the al-fresco section or dine indoors in the modern dining area or lounge on the cosy sofas.
We managed to grab co-owner Wendy for a couple of minutes to ask her about the whole brunch concept at Pietro.
“We want our customers to experience a relaxing and laid back environment which is what Sunday mornings should be – free from stress and anxiety. Come over for a light breakfast or a heavy lunch or something in between,” said Wendy Woo, co-owner of Pietro Ristorante Italiano.
“Sit back and enjoy a selection of soups, starters, mains, and desserts which are specially prepared by our Italian chef and his team. Want something special for a change? Speak to our staff and we will gladly accommodate you if we have the ingredients in our well stocked kitchen,” added Wendy.
Pietro Ristorante Italiano is open for lunch and dinner from Mondays to Sundays.
